Terms of Use

Effective 1 August 2026 · These terms cover this website and the karuu email waitlist. By using the site or joining the waitlist, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What karuu is right now

karuu is a journal app in development, with a librarian character that shelves and connects what you write. It has not been released. Nothing on this site is for sale, nothing can be purchased, and there are no accounts. Anything we describe about the app reflects our current plans — it is not a promise about a finished product, a feature, or a release date. Plans change, and we will say so when they do.

2. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means you will receive updates about the build and, when a beta opens, a notice inviting you.

3. Using the site fairly

Please do not:

We may remove signups and block access where this happens.

4. What belongs to us

The name karuu, the karuu character, and the text, images, and design on this site are ours. You are welcome to link to the site, quote it with attribution, and share it. Anything beyond that needs our permission.

5. No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that what we describe about the app's future will arrive exactly as described.

6. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or the waitlist. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

8. Contact and governing law

Questions: hello@karuu.app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
